Snl24 | Thinah Zungu’s istezi is not what you think it is

Thinah Zungu has surprised many people with his upcoming album title.

GOSPEL star, Thinah Zungu, who has been bragging about his double-storey house since 2020, surprised and confused people by naming his upcoming album after his house.

Thinah is always bragging about his house, which he calls istezi, while his upcoming album is titled Indumiso YaseStezi and will be released on Friday, 1 March.

iStezi is slang for double-storey house.

The 36-year-old from Inanda, north of Durban who is also a pastor at Ark Fellowship Church, told Daily Sun people will be surprised when they realise the name is not what they’re thinking it’s about.

“I’ve noticed that many people are confused about my album title and will also be surprised when they hear my songs. Actually, it’s not about my house, as they think. I was creative enough to take them by surprise and confuse them,” he said.

The Nginguthandiwe hitmaker said the album is about the upper room in the Bible.

“In the Bible there were apostles. The upper room became a place of preparation for ministry, a place of prayer, a place without worldly distractions, a place of profound communion with God. When the Holy Spirit eventually came on Pentecost Day, the upper room became the womb of the church, it’s a place of birth.

“Those who are thinking that I’m bragging about my double-storey house in my music must forget. I’m taking my music worship to the upper room,” he said.
