AS key members of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) continue to resign from the party, serious concerns are being raised regarding Julius Malema’s leadership and the party’s future.
Recently, Sizwe Nkosi, the deputy branch secretary for the Chief Albert Luthuli sub-region of Mpumalanga, was another notable member to cut his losses from the party.
Nkosi wrote to Sbongile Mbatha, the chairwoman of the EFF ward, stating that he’s willingly joining uMkhonto Wesizwe (MK) and that he’ll maintain a radical and militant position in his political endeavours.
āI appreciate the opportunities I have had to serve and work alongside you all,ā he wrote.

Nkosiās resignation comes a week after the former deputy president Floyd Shivambu and member of Parliament Mzwanele Manyi submitted their resignations and joined the MK.
In his letter of resignation, Shivambu made it clear that his choice was a revolutionary one that would enable progressive forces to band together and pursue a common goal rather than a vote of no confidence in the EFF.
He declared that he’d keep fighting for true freedom and economic emancipation. There have been rumours of more resignations inside the EFF since Shivambu and other notable members left.
The likes of Vuyani Pambo, Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi, and Fana Mokoena are a few of the people allegedly thinking about quitting the party.
Meanwhile, Malema has made it clear that he will not beg anyone to stay and that he won’t be working with the MK except in Parliament.
He said this when he was addressing the party’s Gauteng Provincial Ground Forces Forum at the Orlando Communal Hall in Orlando East, Soweto on Monday, 19 August.Ā
