Actress Thabisile Zikhali’s business dream comes true.
AWARD-WINNNG actress Thabisile Zikhali is spreading her wings.
Her childhood dream of becoming a businesswoman has come true.
This is because the actress from KwaMashu in Durban has opened her own salon in Midrand, Gauteng.
She said she has always dreamed of owning a business.
“As a little girl, I knew that one day I’d have a salon of my own. I was good with people’s hair. I started making money when I was still in primary school. Girls from my school used to come to me to do their hair and would pay.
“I also used to do my family members’ hair for free. Then, I realised I was a good hairstylist, and my love for this kind of business grew. I’m glad I’ve turned my passion into business,” Thabisile said.

The actress is known as Officer Biyela on the SABC 1 telenovela Uzalo.
She’s also in Isitha: The Enemy.
Thabisile said her salon, called Lavish Beauty, will also create job opportunities for young hairstylists.
“The salon hasn’t opened its doors yet. I’m still looking for the working staff. I’ve posted different posts on my social media pages. I’m looking for two hairstylists, a receptionist, a make-up artist, a nail technician, a lash technician and a barber.
“This means we won’t do hair only but also make-up, lashes and nails. I’m so excited that I’ll be able to create jobs, as we all know that jobs are scarce in our country. I hope that this business will expand to other provinces and more people will put food on their table through it,” she said.
