WHILE people go to the clinic to get condoms for tlof tlof, boys from Phomolong in Hammanskraal, north of Tshwane, get them for a different purpose.

They use them to hunt birds and all they need is two condoms, sticks and rubber bands to make a sling.

The boys, aged 14 and 15, said they have been killing and enjoying bird meat using this type of a weapon for years.
