Snoop Dogg Comes Under Fire For Allegedly Smoking Weed Around His Grandchildren

Snoop Dogg has come under fire for allegedly smoking marijuana in front of his grandchildren.

On Wednesday (Feb. 21), the beloved rap star uploaded footage of himself working on music in the studio while smoking a blunt, a normal occurrence for the renowned weed enthusiast. However, in this instance, the 52-year-old was surrounded by his grandchildren, who were also in the studio at the time.

Some critics felt Snoop exposing his grandkids to marijuana smoke was inappropriate and shared those sentiments in the comments. “Nobody and I do mean NOBODY smoking around my babies,” one user wrote, while another added “Like Serioisly … Is there a blunt in his hand in front of the grand babies? Come man, damn.”

However, other commenters diminished the severity of Snoop’s seeming infraction, sharing that they had smoked around their own children and relatives themselves.

“I smoked around mine and also made damn sho schooled them on what’s going on at a young age nobody was gone be questioning mines they was on it,” one user wrote, while multiple others noted that the blunt in Snoop’s hand appeared to be unlit.

While Snoop has yet to respond to the backlash surrounding the clip, he would not be the first rapper to have smoked marijuana in front of their kids. Earlier this year, Wiz Khalifa opened up about partaking in his favorite vice while in the presence of his son, even admitting to showing up to the child’s school while under the influence.

“Hell yeah, I’m pulling up stoned,” Khalifa told the Call Her Daddy podcast. “They expect it. They know what’s up. It’s not like back in the day where you’re considered a bad parent if you smell like weed.

He continued, adding “I’m pretty sure my son smells like weed. Like, I don’t know because I can’t smell it, but I’m pretty sure he smells like pot.”
