Squad up, marine

Developer Saber Interactive has today announced its Datavault update for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, and it’s a pretty chunky update overall. New PvP map ‘Tomb’ headlines the new features here, alongside a tough-as-nails difficulty level and some other fresh SM2 content.

‘Absolute’ difficulty, as it’s known, is Space Marine 2’s sixth and final difficulty setting – sure to test out how good of a marine you really are. The team has laid all of its new content out in a ‘roadmap’ of sorts, which we’ll throw down below:

As you can see in the image up above, Space Marine 2 Season Pass holders are also being treated to some new goodies here. We’ve got the ‘Raven Guard Cosmetic Pack’ and the ‘Salamanders Champion Pack’ – which combined add a new helmet, skins and over 40 cosmetics for fans to enjoy.

Speaking of enjoyment – we had an absolute blast with this game when it first released last September. We’ll admit that we haven’t been keeping up with post-launch updates quite as diligently, but the Datavault content drop looks like a great time to jump back into PvP and enjoy some crunchy Space Marine action.

SM2 players, will this bring you back to the game? Talk to us about the Datavault update down below.
