Spurs and Man United dealt transfer blow

England reached a second successive European Championship final with a 2-1 win over The Netherlands on Wednesday.

Gareth Southgate’s side fell behind when Xavi Simons rifled a shot into the top corner, but the Three Lions were quickly back on level terms when captain Harry Kane won and then converted a penalty.

The match looked to be heading for extra-time until the final seconds, when substitute Ollie Watkins scored the winner, sparking jubilant scenes among the England fans in the stadium.

Now, it appears that one member of the England squad could be at the centre of a big transfer saga.

As per Football Insider, Crystal Palace are desperate to keep hold of Eberechi Eze, despite interest from both Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.

Eze is currently on international duty with England at the Euros

The 26-year-old enjoyed an impressive campaign for the Eagles last term, scoring 11 goals in 27 Premier League games.

Eze’s impressive form earned him a place in Southgate’s squad for the Euros, and the winger has made three substitute appearances at the tournament so far.

It is claimed that Palace are determined to keep hold of Eze beyond the end of the current transfer window, having lost fellow winger Michael Olise to German giants Bayern Munich in a reported £50 million deal earlier this month.

Eze is contracted to the Eagles until the summer of 2027, but the report claims that both Spurs and United have shown interest in the player, who can play in a variety of attacking roles including as a central midfielder and on either flank.

As well as Eze, the report also claims that Palace are determined to keep defender Marc Guehi at Selhurst Park for next season.
