San Antonio Spurs rookie sensation Victor Wembanyama is taking place in his first All-Star Weekend over the weekend, participating in the Rising Stars Challenge as well as the Skills Challenge.
At some point, he said that he would also like to participate in the Slam Dunk Contest and the 3-Point Contest as well, per ClutchPoints’ Tomer Azarly.
“Yeah it’s definitely on my bucket list,” Wembanyama said.

A handful of players have participated in both the Dunk Contest and the 3-Point Contest, including Michael Jordan, Paul Pierce, Kobe Bryant and a handful of other notable names. While several players have participated in both, no player has ever won both competitions, so if Wembanyama decides to partake in both he could be chasing history.
So far in his rookie season, Wembanyama is shooting a decent 32% clip from three, but he might need to prove himself a little more from deep before he gets an invite to the 3-Point Contest.
As for the Dunk Contest, Wembanyama’s 7-foot-4 frame would make for some exciting dunks if he ever decides to participate.
On Saturday, Wembanyama will be looking to win his first Skills Challenge. He joins Paolo Banchero and Anthony Edwards on Team Top Picks and will face Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin and Myles Turner on Team Pacers along with Scottie Barnes, Tyrese Maxey and Trae Young on Team All-Stars.
Perhaps next year’s All-Star Weekend will have even more in store for Wembanyama.
