Steelers fans troll Justin Tucker over field complaint, Chris Boswell’s succes

We saw a tale of two kickers in the Week 11 game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens, as Chris Boswell and Justin Tucker had very different outings in the 18-16 Steelers victory.

Tucker, who has been struggling all season long, missed a pair of field goals that were obviously huge when you consider the Ravens only lost by two points. But Boswell was sensational, as has been the case all season long, and accounted for Pittsburgh’s 18 points all by himself via six field goals.

Now, bear in mind, both kickers were playing on the same field, of course, but only one complained about it. Can you guess who?

“I wouldn’t say the surface was an issue, but it wasn’t ideal,” Tucker said, per Brian Batko of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “That’s something that we make it a point to account for by going out there in pregame warmups and getting our feet under us, figuring out what the wind may be doing. But we’ve dealt with that plenty of times here, elsewhere, at home. And then, throughout the course of the game, the most action takes place in between the hashes, and it naturally gets chewed up.”

While there was plenty of discourse on X about Boswell being the better kicker, that is not something Boswell himself subscribes to.

“No, not even close,” Boswell said. “(Tucker’s) a legend.”

But that didn’t stop Steelers fans from having some fun with the idea that Boswell is better than Tucker. They also trolled Tucker over his comments about the field. Here’s some of the best memes and whatnot.

Justin Tucker does weird aiming with arm thing before he kicks.
Misses 2 of 3 field goals.

Chris Boswell does not do weird aiming with arm thing before he kicks. He just lines up and kicks the ball.
Makes 6 of 6 field goals.

Winners don’t do weird. pic.twitter.com/q9a3otMP5r

— Dude Man (@OriginalDudeMan) November 17, 2024While everyone around the NFL is freaking out about Tucker, lest we forget that plenty of kickers go through rough seasons, something even Boswell has seen during his career.

Now, that doesn’t mean Tucker’s struggles aren’t a major issue for the Ravens, which is good news for the Steelers, but it’s not like we haven’t seen this story before with an elite NFL kicker.
