The Golden State Warriors overcame a 13-point halftime deficit to beat the Chicago Bulls on Friday night, winning by the final score of 140-131.
Stephen Curry scored 27 points and grabbed five rebounds as the Warriors entered the game with six losses in their past eight games. He also finished with nine assists, his second-highest total of the season.
Klay Thompson delivered a vintage performance at the United Center, connecting on seven three-pointers while dropping 17 points in the third quarter alone. The 33-year-old ended up scoring 30, adding six rebounds and six assists as well. Jonathan Kuminga helped keep the Warriors afloat with an efficient 24 points off the bench, hitting nine of his 12 shot attempts.
NBA fans were thankful that Golden State was able to end its brief two-game skid, momentarily putting questions about the team’s current roster to rest.
