Steve Burton exits ‘Days of Our Lives’ after finalizing divorce from wife who was impregnated by another man

Steve Burton has exited “Days of Our Lives” just one year after reprising his role as Harris Michaels.

“Wow! Well, I just shot my final scenes here on ‘Days of Our Lives,’ and I just want to say, thank you so much to the cast [and] to the crew. It’s been amazing,” Burton said in a video uploaded to the Daily Drama’s YouTube page Wednesday.

“I can’t believe it’s been a year already! So, thank you so much to the fans.

“It’s just … I’m always so full of gratitude. So thank you. Stay tuned,” he teased.

The soap star made his debut on the long-running series in 1988 and played the character for a year before exiting to star in shows such as “The Young and the Restless” and “General Hospital.”

ABC fired Burton, 53, from “General Hospital” in November 2021 when he refused to comply with the studio’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate, citing religious and medical exemptions.

Less than a year later, Burton announced his marriage to wife Sheree was over because she had become pregnant with another man’s baby.

“I wanted to clear something up. Sheree and I are separated,” Burton’s May 2022 Instagram post began. “She recently announced that she’s expecting her 4th child. The child is not mine.”

He continued, “We are still co-parenting our three beautiful kids. We would appreciate privacy at this time. Much luv, Steve.”

Burton officially filed for divorce about two months later, and the former couple, who didn’t have a prenuptial agreement in place, finalized the split in December 2023.

The actor and and fitness pro, 45, are sharing joint legal and physical custody of their two minor children, Brooklyn and Jack, court documents showed.

They’re also parents to 20-year-old daughter Makena.
