Suge Knight’s Wildest Claims From His Jail Podcast, ‘Collect Call’

Suge Knight has been a controversial figure since the 1990s and, even behind bars, he has found a way to still cause chaos within the music and entertainment space. Over the last year, the 59-year-old has made some wild claims from the (dis)comfort of his prison cell while serving a 28-year sentence for a fatal hit-and-run in 2015.

How have people heard them? Through his podcast, Collect Call. The former Death Row Records CEO launched the show, with help from The Source founder David Mays, in October 2023, intending to address his rivals. As the show has progressed, he has expanded to offering commentary on major happenings, such as Diddy’s sexual assault lawsuits and raids by Homeland Security.

If you told early podcast adopters that someone would be able to do what they do from a jail cell, they likely would not have believed it. But Knight is doing it and has ruffled feathers to the point where artists like Akon and Snoop Dogg have responded to him. Don’t just take our word for it, check out this list of Suge Knight’s wildest claims from his unprecedented jail podcast Collect Call.

And for the record, wild doesn’t always mean false.

Akon Rape Allegations

In the pilot episode of Collect Call, Suge Knight told a lengthy story about how one of his homegirls was convinced to leave her 13-year-old little sister and her sister’s 12-year-old best friend with Akon and Detail in a hotel room. According to Knight, the duo proceeded to sexually assault both of the girls while Knight’s friend went to handle business elsewhere.

“She goes to the next room… she says she comes back in about 35 minutes,” Knight said. “When she gets back in the room, her little sister and that other little girl don’t wanna eat. They look scared. And they’re crying. When she gets back in the car with them, they tell her, ‘Akon, you f**ked the little girl, 13 — Detail f**ked the little girl, 12 years old. Y’all raped them.’”The older sister wanted to pursue legal action, but the Death Row co-founder wanted to handle the situation himself in person.

Akon responded to these claims directly on X. “The world knows a lie when they hear it,” he wrote. “It’s unfortunate that this man is going out like this. It’s sad and seriously embarrassing. Regardless of our history, I’m still going to be praying for him.”

Eazy-E’s Widow Screwed His Estate Out Of Money

Suge Knight took pride in doing good business, so it was no shock that he aired his grievances with Eazy-E’s widow costing his estate a lot of money by signing a bad deal.

“I did a deal for [Eazy]. He gets a dollar off of anything that Dre does,” he said during a November 2023 episode of Collect Call. “In other words, if he do a movie, if he do a beat, if he promote some type of merchandise. If he do a commercial, if he produce… Off of his part, [Eazy] gets a dollar.” Unfortunately his widow, Tomica Woods-Wright, was convinced to sign a new deal with Interscope Records that terminated the agreement Knight worked out, under the promise that Interscope would do new business with her and Ruthless Records in the future.

“Tomica met with Interscope. Interscope said, ‘Hey, why you want to get a dollar off of everything Dre does? Me and you could do business later on. Sign off and just let Dre out of it. We’re gonna do business later,’” Knight recounted. “She signed off. They ain’t did no business with that bi**h later. And guess what? That f**ked Eazy’s kids, his momma, at the time his father was still living. It’s f**ked his family.”

Snoop Dogg Illegally Obtained Death Row Records

On the second episode of Collect Call, Suge Knight expressed his frustrations with Snoop Dogg and the fact he owned Death Row Records. He rehashed comments he shared with TMZ earlier that year about how it all went down.

“Snoop has a partner, which is Michael Harris, right,” he said. “If you look at it, they committed bankruptcy fraud. I didn’t lose my company by doing anything wrong. They went in, and the lawyer didn’t show up, and they got a default judgment. I settled the judgment, they turned around and said I didn’t settle the judgment.” He also claimed that he worked behind the scenes to ensure that Snoop did not receive a life sentence for murder in 1995.

Months later, the two engaged in a back-and-forth on social media sparked by Suge claiming Diddy, Andre Harrell, Dr. Dre, and Russell Simmons were involved in private homosexual relationships with one another. Snoop jumped into a comments of an Instagram post detailing the claims and wrote “Smh I’m praying for that brother that he finds peace.” Knight responded by calling Snoop a “fake crip” and accusing his wife of taking trips to Miami with other men.

Snoop Dogg, Diddy, And Dr. Dre Are In A “Secret Society”

In a March 2024 episode of Collect Call, Suge Knight added to the everlasting idea of their being a “secret society” in the music industry, and specifically named Snoop Dogg, Diddy, and Dr. Dre as members.

“Once they start painting they fingernails and wearing women’s clothes, they got you,” he said about the trio. “I remember when they was giving Puffy an award at the ASCAP Awards — Andre went up there and got him an expensive watch and gave it to him in front of everybody. He basically confessed his love to this man. Then Puffy and Snoop became besties. Every time you see one, you seen the other one. Next thing you know, they start painting they fingernails. Didn’t make sense.”

He continued, citing a time when The Game got the Bad Boy founder an expensive gift. “[The] Game bought Puffy a Lamborghini when Puffy got more money than Game. Why you buying this man a Lamborghini?” he asked. “You know your homies don’t even got a Lamborghini. But once again, it’s that secret society. For this thing to work and fix it, they gotta start all the way over in these major record labels and these big buildings. They need to get rid of all the guys who was connected to the poison and the snake.”

Snoop Dogg didn’t even offer Suge Knight prayers this time. He commented on an Instagram post that AllHipHop made about the claims and simply added a laughing emoji and shrug emoji.

Diddy Was An FBI Informant For Many Years

Diddy’s accusations over the last several months shocked many people, except for 50 Cent of course. However, Suge Knight claimed in a June episode of Collect Call that many people in his circle were aware of what was happening, and he was able to evade any trouble because he had been working with the FBI for years.

“It’s a lot of things that people been knowing, and everybody gets judged differently,” he said during the episode. “It shouldn’t be a grey area when it comes to doing something right, doing something positive, or doing something for the community. That being said, naturally, Puffy been an FBI informant forever, as they would say. That’s why it’s different when it comes to him.”

Knight got a bit more specific about those privy to the former REVOLT chairman’s heinous behavior behind the scenes. “Regardless of who gets hurt, all everybody been saying is ‘Puffy, Puffy, Puffy.’ I think they shouldn’t all blame everything on Puffy,” he asserted. “His exes in the industry knew about it. Everybody in his crew knew about it. The bi**hes he dates knew about it. Everybody knew about it. So don’t push away from it now.”

This was a continuation of Suge Knight’s thoughts he shared after Homeland Security raided Diddy’s homes. “I’ll tell you what, Puffy, your life is in danger ’cause you know the secrets, who’s involved in that little secret room you guys are participating in,” he said during a March episode of Collect Call. “They gonna get you if they can […] ‘Brother Love’ is not a good code name for prison.”

Snoop Dogg Was Responsible For 2Pac’s Downfall

Suge Knight was actively tapped in to Drake and Kendrick Lamar’s recent rap beef, and took issue with “Taylor Made Freestyle” for multiple reasons.

“Young people do what young people do,” he said about the Toronto rapper’s track, which used modulated 2Pac and Snoop vocals. “It’s y’all turn, but regarding the homie ‘Pac, he wasn’t no chump. Putting him on a song and dissing Kendrick [Lamar] for everybody entertainment — that ain’t how it go. Then putting him on a song with Snoop, who was a part of his downfall and exit, ain’t ever a good look. Pac was a king on that chessboard. He never was a pawn, so he can’t make him be a pawn now.”

Knight’s comments were a gentle rehashing of his previous acknowledgment of a conflict in Snoop’s relationship with Pac and his friendship with Diddy, who worked with Pac’s rival The Notorious B.I.G. “As far as the Puffy situation, I really, really, really gotta have a real conversation with Snoop,” he said. “I knew that Pac did everything right by him by putting him on All Eyez On Me, speaking about him and being real with him. And if it’s true what they say, face-to-face it’s gonna be a lot of explaining to do.” Evidently, he thinks Snoop didn’t always do right by Pac, and didn’t deserve to be next to him on a record, let alone consider himself a real friend.

FBI Gave Ben Affleck Compromising Footage Of Jennifer Lopez From Diddy Raids

Image Credit: Amy Sussman/Getty Images for MRC; Monica Schipper/Getty Images

In the most recent episode of Collect Calls, Suge Knight got into his full conspiracy theorist bag by linking Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s seemingly failing marriage to the Diddy raids from a few months ago.

“They go raid Puffy’s house and they get all these videos of J. Lo doing this and J. Lo doing that,” he said, before recalling her involvement in the 1999 night club shooting which led to Shyne taking the fall for Puff. “And they know the fact that J. Lo lied and said that the gun was Shyne’s or whatever and sent that man to prison, destroyed his life and she knew it was Puffy’s.”

Knight believes the FBI handed over tapes of the “Jenny From The Block” singer engaging in illicit activity as a courtesy to him before they potentially went public. “It’s a white man who got respect in the white world. I’m quite sure they said, ‘We want to show you some things about your wife,” he said. “I’m quite sure they headed for divorce because that’s a man who had a good life. Great parents don’t spend a lot of money. Ain’t tripping off paparazzi, he’s living his life. He got his own team. She done brought all that extra sh*t out and now that motherf**ker. He want out.”
