Summer Walker Taps ‘Love Island’ Winners Kordell And Serena For “Heart Of A Woman” Music Video

Summer Walker‘s relatable lyrics can hit home for anyone—showing why she’s top tier when it comes to creating R&B music that makes you feel something.

Today (Oct. 25), Walker dropped a music video for her newest single, “Heart of A Woman,” which includes surprise cameos from Love Island USA winners Kordell Beckham and Serena Page. In the simplistic visual, the couple channel their frustrations through a heated discussion that sees Serena reforge some of her iconic gestures from the show.

At one point, the pair go from lying in bed canoodling to arguing in the kitchen. Serena can be seen pointing her fingers in Kordell’s face (as she infamously did on the show), before moving to the balcony where the argument continues. As it seems that the lovers are going to reconcile, that thought is interrupted when Kordell grabs his car keys to leave, with Serena left in tears. However, he doesn’t exit, and places the keys back on the counter.

The season six winners were the second Black couple to reign supreme in the franchise, taking home the $100,000 prize during the finale back in July 21. Having only dated for six weeks prior, the two caught America’s eye with their synergy that was undeniable.

The pair did however faced tribulations on the love competition show when Kordell’s loyalty was tested at “Casa Amor” while living with a batch of new women—away from his beau. Meeting a new partner, Daia McGhee, it quickly fizzled out when he realized she was no Serena.

From there, the couple was able to get back and stay on track, locking in with only each other. They created their own handshake, wore matching ensembles often and would randomly break out in TikTok choreography together.

Another memorable moment from Kordell and Serena’s journey is when they met each other’s families on Zoom. Serena was introduced to Kordell’s famous older brother Odell Beckham Jr., as he also met her brother and niece.

“I love it; I’m telling you,” OBJ said of his little brother’s relationship. Serena’s family was fond of Kordell too, but warned him not to hurt her.
