In a recent appearance at the “Club Shay Shay” show, Usher joined the veteran Shannon Sharpe for a chat and shared an inside scoop on his upcoming performance during the Super Bowl halftime show. As the discussion progressed, Sharpe asked the legend who he predicts will win the Super Bowl. Usher reacted: “It’s too early for me, I don’t know. I had come here to ask you, to be honest. Sharpe asked if Usher was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He responded, “I mean, you know, I was born in Dallas, Texas, and have always been, you know, a fan of Cowboys throughout the years. You know, who knows, it could be a good year. They seem to be getting together, you know.”

Interestingly, the eight-time Grammy winner plans to release his solo album “Coming Home” on the same day as the Super Bowl. During an interview with Sharpe, Usher was asked if there was a particular reason for this. He explained it as a strategic move to pay tribute to the past. Usher is currently performing a residency in Las Vegas and will have played 100 shows by the end of November. He sees the opportunity to perform at the Super Bowl as a treat and a grand opportunity.

Usher’s stoked about his album and the Super Bowl but might not get paid for the show.

Even Rihanna was not paid a single penny for her show. Instead, the NFL prefers to take care of all the costs associated with the show, including travel expenses. Production costs alone are costly, reaching nearly $10 million. Even spokesperson Joanna Hunter stated,” We do not pay the artists. We pay expenses and production costs.” What are your thoughts on that? Do share your views.
