T1 vs Gen.G Worlds 2024 Semifinals – London Awaits
T1 vs Gen.G is the final game of the Semifinals stage of Worlds 2024. With a spot at the Grand Final in London next week on the line, it would surely be a Bo5 to remember.
It’s been a crazy Worlds 2024 for both sides. Most recently to get to this stage we saw Gen.G come so close to defeat to NA side FlyQuest. T1 also had a close call with the West, though ultimately found G2 to be a much easier opponent than many expected. Now, these two titans go head-to-head to secure a spot against Bilibili Gaming in the Grand Final.

T1 vs Gen.G Recap Worlds 2024
T1 vs Gen.G Recap Game 1
Game 1 started and continued in the classic LCK fashion. Gen.G secured first blood, but well into the 15 minutes, we only had two kills on Gen.G’s side. Gen.G maintained a narrow lead until the 18-minute mark, when T1 were able to catch out Lehends in the top River, securing a kill for Faker and closing the gold gap. Gen.G, however, decided to fight back in the mid-lane shortly after, securing a kill onto Faker right as the Baron spawned onto the map. Though they lacked enough damage to take it down right away.
It would be T1 that would eventually secure the Baron, and the resulting fight would also go the way of the 4th seed from Korea. T1 secured the fight win 3-for-2 in their favour as they now moved into the lead. T1 used Baron to storm down the Gen.G mid-lane, and with it fading, despite the base not being broken open, T1 did win another fight as they moved to a 5k gold lead. A huge fight broke out at the Drake, and while Gen.G almost looked to have it, it was T1 that once again secured the fight. That fight was enough for them to win the game, and what a game 1 it was.

T1 vs Gen.G Recap Game 2
Big first blood once again for Gen.G who were able to secure two kills once again early in the bot lane. A much more dominant start by Gen.G, who doesn’t seem keen to let T1 soak up pressure, instead looking to chase down more kills. The game did calm down, though Gen.G stayed in the lead, but T1 were staying in this game.
Gen.G were able to slightly snowball the lead from 2k to 4k despite very little action happening in the game shortly after Baron spawned. T1 remained within arms reach, however, with a big fight at an objective an obvious moment to unlock this game. This time, Gen.G have been able to take their early lead and keep it up. Claiming a huge Baron and turning that into a base push. T1 unable to stop the pressure and we have a series on our hands. Gen.G claim the game 2 victory and we are tied up at 1-1.

T1 vs Gen.G Recap Game 3
Gen.G once again secured the first blood, this time they did so by setting a trap for Zeus in the top river. T1 got back into the game shortly after, however, claiming a kill on the top side. T1 continued to take control of game three, picking up two more kills before claiming the Grubs and moving to 3k ahead. T1 snowballed their lead rapidly, with Shelly they knocked down the mid and top outer turrets, and moved to 6k ahead. Another huge fight for T1, again in the Gen.G jungle and it was T1 that walked away in the lead once again. With Baron about to spawn on the map, it was a big moment for T1 who had to reset.
´T1, as they do best, slowed the game back down once again as they looked to turn the final key to secure game 3 victory. The fight finally broke out, forced by T1 who were looking to secure pressure around the Baron. Despite Gen.G fleeing, T1 did manage to secure the fight victory, knocking down four members of Gen.G before pushing into the base to secure a win. That put T1 back into the driving seat of the series.

T1 vs Gen.G Recap Game 4
First blood is secured by T1 this time out, as they looked to close out the series. With only 10 minutes on the clock, T1 had managed to secure a 3k lead, giving Gen.G everything to do. T1 didn’t let off the accelerator, as they continued to put pressure on Gen.G. Shortly after Gen.G had a moment to make use of Shelly, but it almost backfired as they nearly handed over a member for free to T1. While Gen.G got a big kill onto Faker, it caused Gen.G to lose two members of their own, handing over Baron to T1 in return. Gen.G then tried to get a Drake in return but thought better of it as T1 returned to the Rift.
A huge fight broke out at the Drake, with T1 able to claim a third of the game, the fight twisted over to Gen.G’s side, securing a Baron in the process. Gen.G found a huge pick onto Faker in the post-Baron fight, but T1 quickly reacted, and pulled the trigger onto the remaining members as T1 claimed four members of Gen.G. With one member left respawning T1 looked to push into the base and claim the win. Gen.G did everything to delay T1, but it wasn’t enough, as T1 claimed victory. They secured their spot at the Grand Final in London, and what a final it will be.
