A trailer has dropped for the BL anime Tadaima, Okaeri (translated as I’m Home, Welcome Back). It tells us about the cast and crew, informs us that the anime will debut in April, and lets us listen to the opening theme song “Futatsu no Kotoba” (translated as “Two Words”) being performed by MADKID.

According to the trailer, Taku Yashiro plays YĆ«ki Hirai, Kƍsuke Toriumi plays Tomohiro Matsuo, and Konomi Kohara plays baby Hinata Fujiyoshi.

In terms of crew, it revealed that Juria Matsumura is Assistant Director, Masaki Mayuzumi is Art Director, Yui Azumi is Color Key Artist, Shinyo Kondo is Compositing Director of Photography, Keiko Onodera is in charge of editing, Shƍji Hata, Megumi Oohashi is handling music, and Noriko Izumo does sound effects.

It’s being made at Studio DEEN, with Shinji Ishihira of Sasaki and Miyano helming the project as director. The person in charge of series scripts is Yoshiko Nakamura, who also worked on Sasaki and Miyano. Tadaima, Okaeri is based on a manga by Ichi Ichikawa, though this manga hasn’t been licensed in America (at least not yet).

Crunchyroll, which will stream the anime when it comes out, gave this description for its plot:

Masaki Fujiyoshi is a stay-at-home spouse and parent. He has fought long and hard with feelings of being a burden to his loving husband, Hiromu, due to his status as an omega—and the difficulty they faced to achieve this domesticity. When their son, Hikari, was born, the family moved to an area better suited for raising children.

Despite their newfound domestic bliss, the family’s ties to their past are in tatters. There are people they left behind to pursue the creation of their happy family, and when they begin to return, Masaki and Hiromu aren’t quite sure they have good intentions.
