There is plenty of action across Europe on Monday, and our selections feature games from Spain, Italy and England.

Girona will look to bounce back from their recent slump at home to Rayo Vallecano, while Roma are also tipped to go well. It could be frustrating viewing elsewhere, although that could translate to success for punters.

Girona’s La Liga title tilt has fizzled out following a draw against Real Sociedad and defeats to leaders Real Madrid and Athletic Bilbao.

Those last two results were on the road but they have been impressive on home turf at the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi so far this season.

The Blanquivermells’ sole home defeat came against Real in October and they have won nine times and drawn the other two.

Visitors Rayo have failed to win any of their last four away games in all competitions but the appointment of new boss Inigo Perez looked to have provided fresh impetus in last Sunday’s 1-1 home draw with leaders Real. 

Girona won November’s reverse game 2-1 and could edge another entertaining clash on Monday.

Treble: Both teams to Score – No – in Mirandes v Huesca, Fiorentina v Lazio and Coventry v Maidstone @ 5/1

Mondays in February can be a bit bleak and while there might be plenty of excitement in Girona, goals could be lacking elsewhere.

Lazio are in Serie A action at 19:45, travelling to Tuscany to take on Fiorentina and six of the last seven meetings, including October’s reverse fixture, have ended with one of the teams failing to score.

Just before that, Spanish Segunda pair Mirandes and Huesca kick off at 19:30. With a ‘No’ in BTTS occurring in Mirandes’ last four and the same outcome in Huesca’s last three, it could be a long night for the fans at the Anduva.

To complete our treble, FA Cup magic may be in short supply when Championship Coventry host National League South Maidstone in the fifth round at 19:45.

The Kent club beat Ipswich to reach this stage but 1987 winners Coventry, smarting from their first home loss since October in going down 3-0 to Preston on Friday, may not be very welcoming of their visitors.

Lazio’s local rivals Roma have started to motor since Daniele De Rossi replaced Jose Mourinho, with ‘Capitan Futuro’ looking very much like a manager for the present.

The Giallorossi have lost just once in the league under his tutelage and also eliminated Feyenoord to reach the last 16 of the Europa League.

A repeat European finish through the league looks to be back on target under De Rossi and Roma can help their cause by beating Torino.

Il Toro are unbeaten in three games on the road and have scored in their last two. With both sides netting in five of Roma’s last six at home in all competitions, this could be an entertaining game and visiting forward Duvan Zapata could put the home defence under plenty of pressure.

The enigmatic Colombian striker is a streaky operator but has scored in three of his last five appearances, while he also netted in the reverse game.
