Jules explains, “This song represents a period of release and renewal for me. It’s about letting go, much like water flowing freely. I hope listeners can find a sense of calm and strength through the song, just as I did while writing it.”

Growing up in L.A.’s Westside, Jules started performing at age 5. By the time she was 13, she had shared the stage with Robbie Kreiger (the Doors), Jackson Browne, Dale Crover (the Melvins), and Guns N’ Roses’ Matt Sorum, as well as making appearances on Russell Brand’s show and KLOS radio’s Heidi and Frank show.

In school, Jules’ fellow students were unaware that she was an acclaimed artist. According to Jules, “As a child, I kept my artist life mostly secret from my fellow 12-year-old peers. Kids were often very mean about my singing. They would tell me to stop and make fun of me. In hindsight, I wish I would have been secure enough to share some of my childhood secret rockstar life.”

Later, after experiencing physical aches and pains that intensified over time, when she was 13, Jules was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, amplified pain syndrome, and Fibromyalgia.

Rather than surrender, Jules refused to allow her health issues to label who she was and is. Instead, she used her medical condition to educate and encourage others.

Opening on a low-slung bluesy rhythm topped by Jules’ voluptuous, velvety vocals, “Waterfall” blossoms into a galvanizing R&B melody flavored with hints of soul and pop. Jules’ sultry vocals rise and soar on intoxicating surfaces over the sensual sway of the resounding harmonics, imbuing the lyrics with sizzling energy and passion.

With its grandly rising chorus, “Waterfall” showcases the earthy splendor of the evocative, compelling voice of Taylor Jules. Taylor Jules can sing!
