Taylor Swift Catching Janelle Monáe’s Jacket—and then Putting It on—Is Peak Taylor Behavior

Taylor Swift caught Janelle Monáe’s tuxedo jacket during the latter’s rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” at the 2025 Grammys, and, like any fan, she freaked out and then put it on.

I mean, who among us hasn’t caught a T-shirt from a T-shirt cannon, or a carnation from a knight at Medieval Times, or a priceless tuxedo jacket from a mega-talented pop star, and then lost their damn mind a little bit? Don’t listen to Kendrick Lamar on this one: sometimes celebrities are just like us.

Swift, who was nominated for six awards at the 2025 Grammys, is known for her kooky silly behavior at awards shows, be it dancing like no one’s watching, getting a little tipsy (her prerogative!), or running around the venue to say hi to like, everyone. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, not only was Swift fan-girling over Monáe, she was also spotted dancing with a little boy during Shakira’s performance, and scooching over to share her seat with Cynthia Erivo after she appeared not to be able to find hers.

Ultimately, Taylor Swift didn’t win any Grammys this evening, but she did win our hearts.
