Taylor Swift Gets Points For Wearing a Whimsical Wedding Guest Dress With a ‘Normal’ Price Tag
Taylor Swift’s latest viral look may not be Reputation-coded, but it still got fans talking.
On October 4, a photo of the 34-year-old pop star began making the rounds on social media. In the snap, which fans claim was taken in late September, Swift appears to be taking part in a silly group photo with a large wedding party, bending down to give bunny ears to a young guest. Because of Swift’s pose and the quality of the photo, it wasn’t easy to make out many details of her dress—but of course, that didn’t stop Taylor Swift style expert, Sarah Chappell.
Based on the unique pattern of Swift’s dress, Chappell believes the pop star was wearing Montsand’s printed jungle dress featuring a tea-length hemline and a “whimsical, woodland scene.” If you look closely at the wedding photo, you can just make out the adorable little fox printed towards the bottom of the dress. Swift finished off the look with a simple updo and her signature red lip.
Of course, Chappell’s comments section was full of “I Know Places” lyric references and a few Woodvale theories (IYKYK), but the biggest takeaway from fans was the accessible price of the dress, which retails for $305 and is currently available from sizes XS—XXL (at least, until it sells out).

“I love that it’s actually at a price for a normal wedding guest. That’s so awesome 🥰,” one fan commented, receiving over a thousand likes. Another wrote, “I love that she wears a normal, affordable brand when she’s going to an event like this. Seems small but shows a lot of respect and understanding.”
A third commenter replied, “Love that she shows up to the family functions in her low costing dresses..she doesn’t floss out in her designer!”

While Taylor Swift has certainly been wearing a lot of Vivienne Westwood lately, she is definitely known for her approachable approach to fashion, often mixing in affordable pieces and relatable designers into her everyday looks. “There’s a certain, I guess, authenticity to what she wears, wherein she will just simply wear what speaks to her,” Chappell told Glamour in April. “I love that, whether it’s a Gucci bag or an Urban Outfitters top, it’s whatever speaks to her that moment. I think that’s very admirable and cool.”
