Taylor Swift Happily Posed for Brittany Mahomes’s Instagram Picture Amid Rumors of a Rift

Petty feuds are so high school. While Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes were best friends on the sidelines of their fellas’ Kansas City Chiefs games last year, since election season started, things have been more muted. Mahomes appears to support Donald Trump (though her husband, QB Patrick Mahomes, declined to sadeclined to say who he’s voting for), while Swift emphatically does not, sparking rumors of a rift.

But they are, at least, on good enough terms to take a very cute Instagram picture to celebrate Mahomes’s pregnancy with her third child.

“Same girls, new bump🥹❤️,” Mahomes captioned a pic of herself, Swift, and Lyndsay Bell, wife of Chiefs tight end Blake Bell. In the image, taken during or after Monday’s game against the Saints, Swift and Bell have their hands gently placed on Mahomes’s baby bump, and she added two more pictures of the three girls in the same pose at games past, but with Bell, who was pregnant last season, in the middle. “Okay this is cute,” wrote Tay Lautner, wife of Swift’s ex Taylor Lautner, in the comments. A few commenters wrote something along the lines of “Taylor is next to have a baby,” but even more pointed out that she is sipping a presumably alcoholic drink in all three pictures, decidedly not with child. “Taylor’s marking herself safe from pregnancy rumors 🍹 lol,” wrote one fan, summing it up nicely. The next person to start a stupid pregnancy rumor about my girl Taylor, swear to God, I will find you.

So, are they friends or “friends”? Honestly, we will probably never know. But the bigger question this raises is: How much can Taylor Swift influence her friends? Could she potentially change Brit’s mind? And much more importantly, can she get Haim to put out a fourth album already? It’s been ages!!!!
