When previously speaking to the Daily Mail, Whyte revealed the various injuries he has suffered from BMX racing.

“Two shoulders, two collarbones, a couple of fingers, my hand twice, my wrist twice, my elbow and toes. Oh, and my jaw as well.”

Whyte did not take part in the next heat after his crash and therefore did not feature in the final.
