Team Trump Claims Guilty Conviction Led to $141 Million Fundraising Bonanza in May

In fact, in a fully absurd turn of events, itās made people want to give him excessive amounts of cash.
On Monday, the Trump campaign claimed it, along with the Republican National Committee, had raised $141 million, a haul that dwarfed all other months this year. (The figures will not be confirmed until filings are made public later this month.) The group claimed that more than one third of the total, or $53 million, was raised after a Manhattan jury found Trump guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records, stemming from the hush money payment made to Stormy Daniels on the eve of the 2016 election. āWe are moved by the outpouring of support for President Donald J. Trump. The American people saw right through Crooked Joe Bidenās rigged trial, and sent Biden and Democrats a powerful messageāthe REAL verdict will come on November 5,ā the campaign said in a statement.
In response, the Biden campaign told Axios, āWeāll see how the numbers actually shake out come July, but one thingās for certain: Trumpās billionaire friends are propping up the campaign of a white-collar crook because they know the dealāthey cut him checks and he cuts their taxes while working people and the middle class pay the tab.ā
Since Trump was found guilty late last month, his allies on the right have vowed to get revenge on his perceived enemies. For his part, the ex-presidentāwho will be sentenced on July 11, possibly to jail timeāhas called on the Supreme Court to overturn his conviction.
