Terrell Suggs was arrested in Arizona after allegedly threatening a man with a firearm during a run-in at a Starbucks drive-thru.
The two-time Super Bowl champion was charged with threatening, intimidating, and disorderly conduct with a weapon and was later released from police custody.
According to Scottsdale police, Suggs was at a Starbucks drive-thru location in Maricopa County on March 10, during which the former All-Pro defender’s backed his vehicle into another car in the parking lot. Although neither vehicle sustained damage as a result of the accident, an argument ensued between Suggs and the other party, which turned confrontational.

After placing and receiving his order, Suggs allegedly brandished a handgun outside of the window of his vehicle in a threatening manner before fleeing the scene. The incident was captured on the alleged victim’s vehicle’s dashcam.
“[Suggs] began to leave the drive thru but stopped shortly and then reached his left arm out of the open driver’s window of his vehicle and displayed a black handgun in his left hand,” court documents read. “The handgun was never pointed at the victim and was just merely shown, which the victim believed [Suggs] was threatening him with.”
The former Baltimore Ravens star has had multiple run-ins with the law during his football career. In 2003, during the No. 10 overall draft pick’s rookie year, he was charged with felony aggravated assault stemming from a March 2003 incident in Arizona.

In June 2005, Suggs would later be acquitted of those charges due to a lack of evidence. In 2012, a temporary protective order was placed against Suggs amid allegations that he physically assaulted his ex-wife on multiple occasions.
A graduate of Arizona State, Suggs enjoyed a standout NFL career, with a number of accolades and stats that make him a presumable Hall of Fame candidate. Over 17 seasons, Suggs accumulated 139 sacks, 37 forced fumbles, 15 fumble recoveries, seven interceptions, and 895 tackles. He was named the NFL’s Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2003 and earned the league’s Defensive Player of the Year in 2011.
Suggs won two Super Bowl titles during his career, one with the Baltimore Ravens in 2012, and another with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, his last and final season in the NFL.
