Things got heated between Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander on Sunday.
Before the game even started, Diggs and Alexander exchanged words on the sideline. It’s unclear exactly what happened, but Diggs was seen near the Packers’ sideline getting into it with several players, including Alexander.

After the game, Diggs explained what happened from his point of view. He kept things vague but said he was on his way to the locker room when he heard some words coming from Green Bay players, which he wasn’t willing to back down from.
“I’m never the bigger person,” he said, per Yahoo Sports’ Ryan Young. “I ain’t letting s–t go.”
Following the heated exchange, Diggs didn’t exactly back up his talk on the field. He had just five receptions for 23 yards as the Texans lost 24-22.
While Diggs didn’t explain exactly what happened between him and Alexander on Sunday, the two have a history, according to Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans.
“Those guys have a history, they’ve been going at it before,” Ryans said, per the Houston Chronicle’s Jonathan Alexander. “We don’t want to encourage that. We just want to go out and play ball the right way and make sure it’s settled on the field. We can’t be about chirping and all the extra stuff, we’ve just got to be about executing when the ball is snapped.”
With the incident now behind them, Diggs and Alexander will look to carry on with their respective seasons. Houston will face the Indianapolis Colts next week while Green Bay has a matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
