Texas A&M legend calls out Deion Sanders’ son for being a poor teammate

Former two-time Heisman-winning Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel called out Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, for calling out his Colorado Buffaloes offensive line following a 28-10 loss to Nebraska on September 7.
“If I was an O-lineman at Colorado, I’d be absolutely pissed. I mean, I really just don’t see how you do this,” Manziel said on the September 9 edition of Big Bets On Campus. “I don’t see how you come and throw your own guys under the bus that you’re working with. Grinding with every single week. Week in and week out.”
Manziel knows about a quarterback’s brotherhood with his offensive line – and was flabbergasted that Sanders would do such a thing. Then again, Manziel had an offensive line in front of him that actually kept him protected.
“Johnny Football” called out Sanders for not being as good as he thought he was.
“I know early on in the game, one thing you don’t do from a quarterback perspective is throw a hitch route, late and on the inside for a pick-six,” Manziel said. “So I mean there is a lot of blame there in that throw that Shedeur made early in the game that turned into a pick-six and really got things, you know, started for Nebraska.”
Manziel didn’t use soundbites to become a household name. He beat Nick Saban’s Alabama Crimson Tide and Dak Prescott’s Mississippi State Bulldogs.
He and Shedeur have little in common besides playing the same position. They likely won’t have a Heisman Trophy Award in common.
