Thai Flavors Take Over China Hotel Guangzhou This Summer

Tropical beaches, swaying palms, and the irresistible tang of lemongrass, Thailand’s vibrant flavors have arrived at China Hotel Guangzhou, as the Thailand Gourmet Festival kicks off at Café Veranda.

Running through September, the two-month culinary celebration is supported by the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Guangzhou and marks 50 years of China-Thailand friendship.

Step into Café Veranda and you’ll feel transported to a lively Thai getaway.

The dining space gets a summer makeover, with tropical décor and a vibrant atmosphere that evokes Bangkok’s bustling urban vibes and Phuket’s coastal charm.

Dozens of Thai favorites line the buffet, from tangy salads to tropical sweets.

Guests can wander from steaming Tom Yum Goong to pandan‑scented desserts, letting every plate feel like an escape to a flavorful paradise.

The buffet showcases authentic dishes crafted with the country’s signature spices and fresh ingredients, including:

Tom Yum Goong – Thailand’s iconic hot and sour soup, packed with seafood, lemongrass, and chili heat.

Thai Sweet & Sour Prawns – Golden, springy shrimp glazed in a fruity, tangy sauce.

Spicy Chicken Salad – A refreshing mix of herbs and chili for that zesty kick.

Pandan Mango Sticky Rice & Coconut Jelly – Classic desserts that cool and satisfy

This summer, Thailand Gourmet Festival at Café Verdana brings the essence of Thailand to the heart of Guangzhou, and this two‑month celebration is a delicious reason to linger a little longer at the table.
