You will be able to organically unlock the gardening activity in Persona 3 Reload as you progress through the story. The Chairman of your dorm will give you the key to the roof on 5/25 along with a couple of Healthy Tomato Sprouts seeds. Buying and planting more seeds in the garden will allow you to get a variety of battle-enhancing items that will come in handy.

Furthermore, your friends will also be able to help you out with gardening from 6/16. This will allow you to get more effective items from doing the activity. Having your friends help will also increase their Combat Characteristics.

You will be able to buy more seeds from the Port Island Station. Head on over to the Flower Shop and interact with the Flower Shop Lady. This will open a menu from which you can buy a variety of seeds. Additionally, as you progress through the game, more seeds will become available, giving you the ability to plant and grow a slew of helpful battle items. While it is a good idea to always have something growing in your garden, keep in mind not to overbuy seeds as you will need the money for better seeds down the line.

How to Get the Best Output From Your Garden?
To make the most out of your gardening efforts, here’s what you can do:

You will be able to tend to your garden with your friends and dormmates starting from 06/16. You will occasionally see some of your friends standing near the 1st Floor that you can interact with to garden together during the evening. The easiest way to identify them is to look for a blue smiley face above their head. Doing so will allow you to get more potent items in addition to the ones you usually get. For instance, if you plant Soul Spinach Sprouts and tend to them with Fuuka, you’ll get an extra batch of Large Soul Spinach x 2, which restores 50 SP to 1 ally.

You can also buy the Veggie Farmer Sim for 4,500 yen from 09/08 onwards. This can be purchased from the Net Cafe which you can read from the computer at your dorm. Doing so will increase the yield of your garden.

Final Thoughts
Gardening is a great way to keep your stock of battle items replenished at all times. You can go tend to your garden as many times as you want and plant seeds as per your requirements. And the best part is – you can also do it with your friends, which not only improves their Combat Characteristics but also gives you a larger yield. So, what are you waiting for? If you haven’t invested in this side activity in Persona 3 Reload yet, then you should get to it right away!
