Who remembers the snail mucin best-seller from Black Friday? Well, it’s back and on sale again. Hate it or love it, snails are all the rage right now; (did you catch the live-action Transponder Snails from the One Piece series?) Amazon is currently slashing prices during its Big Spring sale, and not just on snail stuff either. Everything from sports gear (like these discounts on cornhole sets and pickleball deals) to video games to Amazon device deals, there are some great discounts we’d recommend browsing this weekend before they’re gone.

This new Spring sale lasts until March 25th, so you have a few days left to decide if you want to try this trending snail mucin below for yourself or your partner, (no judgment). Or, you can shop the other Big Spring sale deals that may be more your style.

The Popular Snail Mucin is up to 54% Off

This product is too wild not to share again. People seem to be obsessed with this brand and line of products, as COSRX continues to get praise from beauty publishers and fans alike. And, there are different types of this Snail Mucin for different skin types and needs, such as acne, anti-aging, skin-tightening and hyperpigmentation (dark spots) correction.

What is Snail Mucin?Snail mucin is literally a snail’s secretion, sometimes known as “snail secretion filtrate” or SSF. According to EverydayHealth’s article What Is Snail Mucin?, cosmetic chemist Georgia Smith says “Chemically speaking, snail mucin is a complex mix of proteins, enzymes, hyaluronic acid, copper peptides, antimicrobial peptides, iron, zinc, and proteoglycans.” So, how did humans discover snail mucin could be beneficial for human skin? Back in the 1980s, workers on a snail farm in Chile noticed their hands were unusually soft and credited the snails for this change, according to this Associated Press story. It then became popular in Korean skincare and now has made its way everywhere. If you’re curious about the science behind it, I’d recommend National Geographic’s piece on “Snail mucus is a skin care phenomenon—but does it really work?”

I will let the thousands of positive reviews speak for themselves here, but there really isn’t really a catch to this unique skincare product. If it doesn’t gross you out too much and can help your skin feel hydrated and moisturized, it’s really more of a question of “why not?”
