These 8 PS5, PS4 Games Will Leave PS Plus Extra in September

F.I.S.T., Dragon’s Crown, Odin Sphere all gone

A new selection of 12 PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium games has gone live today, but as usual, this also means the service’s Last Chance to Play section has been refreshed with the next set of departures.

Eight games will be removed from PS Plus Extra on Tuesday, 16th September 2025. Once they depart, you won’t be able to play them anymore, even if you’ve redeemed them or got them downloaded. The eight games leaving next month are:

UFC 5 (PS5)
The Plucky Squire (PS5)
Night in the Woods (PS5, PS4)
Road 96 (PS5, PS4)
Pistol Whip (PSVR2)
Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir (PS4)
F.I.S.T.: Forged in Shadow Torch (PS5, PS4)
Dragon’s Crown Pro (PS4)

The vast majority of the list represents high-quality games, so if any of them are in your backlog, we suggest you move them to the front of your queue. Of particular note is F.I.S.T., which is a fantastic Metroidvania title out of the China Hero Project from Sony. Dragon’s Crown Pro and Odin Sphere are both very good too, but are on the longer side. You will need to start playing soon if you want to roll credits on them.

Do you intend to play any of these PS5, PS4 games before they leave PS Plus Extra next month? Get a move on in the comments below.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he’s found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.
