Damian Lillard produced a stunning three-pointer with just over a second left of overtime to earn the Milwaukee Bucks a 143-142 win over the Sacramento Kings in the NBA.
Lillard top-scored for the Bucks with 29 points but his late moment of brilliance was the standout moment, sparking wild celebrations with his team-mates as the Bucks extended their winning streak to three NBA matches.
Giannis Antetokounmpo produced a triple-double with 27 points, 10 assists and 10 rebounds, while DeâAaron Fox found himself on the losing side despite top-scoring with 32.
The Kings made the stronger start but there was little to separate the teams throughout the match, with the Bucks only just edging it at half-time, leading 68-66.
The Bucks looked to be heading for victory when they went 12 points up in the final quarter, but the Kings recovered to tie the score at 128-128 at the end of regular time. The Kings were moments away from winning in overtime, before Lillardâs late shot from distance.
Domantas Sabonis also scored a triple-double for the Kings, with 21 points, 15 assists and 13 rebounds, while Kevin Huerter got himself a double-double with 26 points and 10 rebounds.
âIt was like we had the game and they stole it from us and we took it back at the end,â Bucks coach Adrian Griffin said.
“When they went up six [in overtime] it would have been easy for us to throw in the towel, but those guys are resilient. Probably one of our best wins of the season.â
Griffin’s opposite number Mike Brown was ejected when he burst on to court in the fourth quarter and remonstrated with a referee, before having to be restrained by his own players.
Elsewhere, Devin Booker scored 34 points to help the Phoenix Suns to a 127-116 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, with Kevin Durant chipping in with 21 of his own.
Anthony Edwards shook off a knee injury, scoring 33 points for the Minnesota Timberwolves in a 109-105 win over the Los Angeles Clippers, with 20 of those coming during an explosive third quarter.
Nikola Jokic was among four Denver Nuggets players to score 20 or more points, notching 25 in a 117-109 victory over the Indiana Pacers, while Miami Heat beat the Charlotte Hornets 104-87.
