This Rimac Nevera Is The Company’s 15th Birthday Present To Itself
Between overseeing V16 hybrid Bugattis and driverless taxis, it can be easy to forget that Mate Rimac – entrepreneur, engineer and all-round cool guy – has a company that bears his own name, selling all-electric (for now) hypercars. The nearly 1900bhp Rimac Nevera may have only been in production for a few years, but the company itself – Rimac Automobili – was established back in 2009.
To save you from doing the highly complicated maths yourself, that’s 15 years ago. A nice milestone to celebrate then, and Rimac has done just that with this, the Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition.
Rimac Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition – wheel detail
Setting it apart from the standard Nevera are a new design of alloy wheel, some inevitable 15th Anniversary badging and a patterned stripe running the length of the car, designed to look like the workings of a circuit board. This particular car shows off a unique spec, with the upper body in matte copper and the lower part left in bare carbon.
Inside, meanwhile, this paint is reflected with anodised copper switchgear and various surfaces painted in the same shade. The upholstery can be trimmed in either black or white, and gets contrasting stitching in – you guessed it – copper. There’s more anniversary badging, and owners will also get a set of bespoke fitted luggage matched to their interior colour of choice.

It doesn’t receive any performance upgrades, but doesn’t really need to: as a reminder, the Nevera gets four motors for a total of 1888bhp, and will hit 62mph in a frankly brutal 1.8 seconds.
Company boss Mate Rimac said of the car: “The 15th Anniversary Edition Nevera is the car that marks our progress, revealing just how far we’ve come. From garage to global; from worrying about keeping the lights on to a €2 billion valuation; from converted BMW 3-series to the world’s fastest accelerating production car and from hypercar maker to Tier 1 EV tech supplier and energy storage pioneers.”

The Nevera 15th Anniversary Edition will be debuting publicly at this week’s Goodwood Festival of Speed. Each one is set to cost €2.35 million, or around £2 million. Guess how many examples of this 15th Anniversary Edition, covered in number 15s and designed to mark 15 years of the company’s existence, will be made. Go on, guess. That’s right – nine.
