TikTok ‘In the Mix’ Live Concert Draws 33.5 Million Viewers — Largest Live Audience Ever for the Platform

TikTok has announced its ‘In the Mix’ global live concert has shattered viewership records on the platform with 33.5 million unique viewers.The original broadcast and three subsequent rebroadcasts of the concert broke the record for biggest ever live event on TikTok, with 9.6 million people watching live. The live show celebrated music and the trends of the industry this year, featuring a five-hour music event with headliners Cardi B, Niall Horan, Anitta, Charlie Puth, Offset, and Peso Pluma.

In addition to those headline acts, TikTok also featued live performances from emerging artists including Isabel LaRosa, Kaliii, LU KALA, and Sam Barber. Each of these artists is participating in the TikTok emerging artists program called TikTok Elevate.

While TikTok is celebrating this milestone for live events on the platform, the fun isn’t over. If you missed ‘In the Mix’ you can now see a one-hour highlights special featuring moments from the concert including Charlie Puth’s duet with Jungkook, Anitta and Peso Pluma performing their new song “BELLAKEO” live for the first time, and a surprise appearance from Shaq.

The TikTok ‘In the Mix’ concert event was co-produced by TikTok and GroupM Motion Entertainment, with sponsorship from Paramount and Coca-Cola. The event took place at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona on December 10, 2023 and was streamed globally via TikTok LIVE. The LIVE video and event production were designed specifically for the vertical format by director Hamish Hamilton and Done+Dusted.
