Tom Holland On “Phone Call Of A Lifetime” After Being Cast In Christopher Nolan’s Next Film: “Reminiscent Of Getting Call About Spider-Man”
Tom Holland is booked and busy and has recently been cast in Christopher Nolan’s next film.
The Spider-Man: No Way Home star opened up about receiving the call about working with Nolan and likened it to his call when he landed the role of the Marvel superhero.
“When the opportunity came in, it was the phone call of a lifetime,” Holland said on Good Morning America in an interview on October 23. “It was reminiscent of getting the call about Spider-Man 10 years ago.”
He continued, “It’s an amazing thing for me. I’m super proud and I’m really, really excited.”

There are not many details about Nolan’s new film and although the GMA hosts tried to do their best to get Holland to spill the tea, he kept mum about saying anything more than he could.
“All I can say is that I’m incredibly excited,” Nolan said about starring in Nolan’s film. “And, obviously honored, but that’s all I can say because, to be honest, that’s all I know.”
The as-of-yet untitled Universal film is also set to star Matt Damon and is set to be released in Imax on July 17, 2026.
Holland also teased his return to the Peter Parker role in Spider-Man 4, saying, “All I can tell you is that it’s happening. We are super close to having a creative, I think that is really worthy of the fans, but I think now we feel confident that the idea is strong enough that we can finally say that this is going ahead. We’re going to shoot next summer. The idea is crazy. It’s a little different to anything we’ve done before. But I think the fans are going to really respond to it.”
