Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Bayern Munich
Full Time! Tottenham 2-3 Bayern Munich
The fans got to see Harry Kane for just over ten minutes, but could not see their side get a result against the Bavarian giants.
90+3′ Werner tries to deliver from the left flank
But his low ball goes straight into the arms of Ulreich.
90+1′ Kane with another strike from long range
But it was always rising just too far and ended up a yard over the bar.
87′ Dangerous low cross from Moore
He slid a ball in from the right flank but Ulreich got out to gather.
83′ Kane not too far away
Coman slipped the ball square to him 25 yards out and his curling effort looked like it may dip under the crossbar after clearing Vicario.
79′ Here he is!
Tottenham’s all-time record goalscorer comes onto the field to a massive cheer and standing ovation.
78′ Will Kane get on at all?
77′ Dier gets a yellow card!
And a round of boos for a foul on Moore.
74′ Udogie plays the ball to Werner in the left hand side of the penalty area
But the German winger cannot weave his way into a shooting opportunity.
71′ The ball drops to Aznou on the edge of the box
But he curls an effort high over the bar. Bergvall seems ok to carry on.
68′ What no one wants to see…
Bergvall went down off the ball. But after taking on fluids he is now back to his feet. It seems he felt something blocking his breathing.
64′ Huge cheers as Spurs starlet Mikey Moore comes on
A day before his 17th birthday – when he will sign his first professional contract.
62′ GOAL! Tottenham (Kulusevski) 2-3 Bayern
Bayern played themselves into trouble gifting the ball to Bergvall who slid a lovely ball through for Kulusevski who sent the keeper diving the wrong way for his second.
60′ Rivalling chants of Tottenham and Bayern in the crowd
More going on there than on the pitch.
56′ Good save from Vicario
Gnabry and Kimmich exchange passes and the former Arsenal man tries to sneak the ball in the near post but Tottenham’s keeper pushes wide.
54′ The game is lacking the first half’s intensity
Unsurprising given the amount of changes at the break.
50′ Dier also returning to Tottenham
After over 350 games, he is on the field in Bayern colours in the second half and foils Kulusevski’s attacking efforts early on in the second half.
48′ Vicario, Son and Kulusevski are still on for Spurs
The rest have been changed.
46′ A whole host of changes
8 for Tottenham (including new signing Archie Gray) and 5 for Bayern.
45′ Bayern get the second half underway
HALF TIME! Tottenham 1-3 Bayern
Not much has gone right for Spurs after scoring in the first minute.
45′ Maddison shoots from 25 yards out
It was on his left foot, but flew like a rocket and was just a few yards over the angle of post and bar.
44′ GOAL! Tottenham 1-3 Bayern (Muller)
The ball was played to the far post and Muller got free of his man before stooping to head low past Vicario.
43′ Tel brought down on edge of area by Dragusin
Maybe a last chance of the half for Bayern to extend their lead.
42′ Johnson with a dangerous low cross
And Stanisic only just avoids putting into his own net as he diverts the ball behind before Son could tap in at the far post.
40′ Vicario denies Musiala
Tel once again found acres of space on the left flank and the ball was laid back to Musiala on the edge of the box. He turned on his left foot but his effort was parried by the Spurs keeper.
36′ Musiala close to doubling Bayern’s lead
Tel fed him the ball in the left hand side of the area and though his shot did not have great strength it looked for a while like creeping into the far post, but ended up just wide.
31′ GOAL! Tottenham 1-2 Bayern (Gnabry)
Spurs could only clear the ball to the edge of the area from where Gnabry drove home.
28′ Son tries an audacious effort form 40 yards
But his effort neither had the aim nor the legs to reach the net.
26′ Kulusevski a yard away from a second
The Swede faced a narrow angle but short firmly and only just wide of the far post.
25′ Gnabry goes down in the box wanting a penalty
It looked like Davies may have taken his leg but no kick was given.
21′ Son breaks and for a time just has the goalkeeper in front of him
But the days are gone when he can run 60 yards without defenders catching him.
16′ GOAL! Tottenham 1-1 Bayern (Upamecano)
Tel was found unmarked by a free kick at the back post and though the Spurs keeper parried the effort, Upamecano tapped home the rebound from a yard out.
13′ Gnabry with a chance
It has been so open at both ends. The ball drops to Gnabry at the back post but he sidefoots over the bar.
12′ Maddison plays in Kulusevski
And he tries to find Johnson at the far post but did not put enough pace in his square ball.
10′ Tel is played through in the left hand side of area
He looks to curl inside the far post but he misses the target.
7′ Free kick is taken early…
And the ball is played to Muller at the back post but he cannot get his header on target.
6′ Musiala brought down on the edge of the box
A silly tackle from Ben Davies gives Bayern a chance.
4′ Son wastes opportunity with heavy touch
A diagonal ball cuts through the Bayern defence but Son’s touch is uncharacteristically heavy and the German side can clear.
1′ GOAL! Tottenham (Kulusevski) 1-0 Bayern
An awful error at the back from Bayern sees the ball drop to makeshift centre forward Kulusevski and he makes no mistake volleying home with his left foot from close range.
1′ Bayern kick off
