Travis Hunter Should Be the #1 Pick

I have been reading up on the upcoming 2025 Draft; the past several months have been a whirlwind and I haven’t had much time for any extras. I have seen a few mock drafts by all sorts of people. In most years they have a consensus #1 overall selection.

Surveying the landscape today, the 2025 NFL Draft seems wide open for whose name will get called first. Some have Penn State linebacker Abdul Carter, some have Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders, and some have Miami quarterback Cam Ward.

Travis Hunter should be picked #1 overall, without a doubt.

I’ve watched film on Hunter at cornerback, and he plays the position with exceptional skills. He has rare ability to time the ball. He is smooth out of a backpedal, and has great use-of-hands. He is physical and plays the position the way it is supposed to be played.

Throw in his height and arm length, as well as his outstanding skills as a receiver to boot, and he is a general manager’s dream selection.

Of course, the Titans and new general manager Mike Borgonzi can do whatever they want. But to me, this pick is an easy layup. Hunter should be #1.
