Two More Ubisoft Classics Have Quietly Been Added To PC Game Pass

Not originally Ubisoft titles, but they are these days!

In addition to all the Ubisoft games that were added to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass earlier this month, the company very quietly trickled out two more late last week – both of which are exclusive to PC Game Pass.

These are Heroes of Might and Magic 2 – Gold Edition and Heroes of Might and Magic 3 – Complete Edition, both of which are credited to Ubisoft despite the very earliest versions of these games having been developed by New World Computing and published by The 3DO Company.

For those who haven’t come across them before, these are both classic turn-based fantasy games from the mid-late ’90s, and the Gold and Complete Editions feature additional expansions (one and two respectively) compared to their original releases.

Alternatively, if you’re not a PC Game Pass owner, you can now pick up these games at the low price of just £9.19 / $9.99 on the Microsoft Store. As mentioned though, they are only playable on PC and not on Xbox consoles in any form.

If you’re wondering why Ubisoft has suddenly added these games to PC Game Pass, it’s to do with the series’ recent 30th Anniversary Celebration – which included more details (and a PC demo) for the upcoming prequel, “Olden Era”.

We’ll leave you with more details along with some footage of each game down below.

Heroes of Might and Magic 2 – Gold Edition

Lord Ironfist is dead and the Kingdom is plunged into a vicious civil war by his feuding sons. At stake is the ultimate prize: control of the land and succession of the royal throne. Will you support the villainous usurper and lead the armies of evil or be loyal to the righteous prince and deliver the people from tyranny.

Heroes of Might and Magic 3 – Complete Edition

The pack includes the original “Heroes of Might and Magic III”, and its two expansions: “Armageddon’s Blade” and “The Shadow of Death”.Heroes III: The Restoration of Erathia™. Murdered by traitors and resurrected by Necromancers as an undead lich, Erathia’s deceased king commands its neighboring enemies to seize his former kingdom. His progress is halted when his daughter Catherine, Queen of Enroth, returns to the shores of her homeland.
