UFC schedule for September: A rare week off kickstarts a solid month for MMA fans to look forward to
After a rather stop-start August, the UFC is set to have a solid September schedule with two Fight Night events, a couple of new episodes of Dana White’s Contender Series, and a PPV bonanza that is sure to raise the roof.
With this weekend being one of those rare occasions with no UFC event on at all, fans are already looking ahead to what’s to come over the next four weeks.
Here is your quick guide to the UFC event schedule this September, including who’s set to compete and when the key events are meant to take place.

DWCS Week 5 – September 10Week five of Dana White’s Contender Series battles against the mid-week blues, with another five potential UFC contracts being offered out to the winners.

UFC 306: O’Malley vs Dvalishvili – September 14The centerpiece of September is a PPV that’s been promoted by Dana White as a ‘once in a lifetime’ experience as the promotion lands at The Sphere in Las Vegas for UFC 306.
The PPV is headlined by bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley taking on Georgian wrecking ball Merab Dvalishvili, with Mexico’s own Alexa Grasso set to throw down with Valentina Shevchenko for the third time in the co-main event of the evening.
Elsewhere on the card, Diego Lopes looks to continue his ascent up the rankings when he takes on #3 featherweight contender Brian Ortega, as well as the return of young superstar-in-the-making, Raul Rosas Jr.

DWCS Week 6 – September 17September 17 sees Dana White’s Contender Series move into the final half of its season 8 broadcast, although we’re still awaiting a few of the athletes involved to be officially announced.

DWCS Week 7 – September 24Similar to the DWCS event the week prior, we’re still waiting for a few of the fights featured on season 8 episode 7 to be officially announced.

UFC Fight Night: Moicano vs Saint-Denis – September 28After another week away, September is rounded out by a trip to the City of Love, with fan favorite lightweight Renato ‘Money’ Moicano returning to action to take on Benoit ‘God of War’ Saint-Denis in front of the Paris faithful.
It’s a particularly stacked Fight Night card with Nassourdine Imavov vs Brendan Allen, Kevin Jousset vs Bryan Battle, Fares Ziam vs Matt Frevola and William Gomis vs Joanderson Brito set to feature.

Elsewhere on the card, fans can also look forward to the returns of Germaine de Randamie, Oumar Sy, Morgan Charriere, and Ailin Perez.
So, despite kicking off September with a week off, followed by a rather standard Fight Night card at The Apex, fans can look forward to a solid month of action with UFC 306 and UFC Paris being the standout events.
