The WWE Raw after Clash at the Castle on June 17 may have been the most eventful night of the year for the company.

Uncle Howdy returned to wrestling leading a strange crew of talent that resembled the members of Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Fun House.

Seth Rollins is back, and he is out for gold. He has challenged Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at Money in the Bank.

Drew McIntyre quit WWE, walking out on the company after being screwed out of the World Heavyweight Championship in Scotland on Saturday night.

Bron Breakker made an impact by laying out Sheamus and Ludwig Kaiser while setting a clear challenge to intercontinental champion Sami Zayn.

Otis finally turned on Chad Gable for his heinous actions against Alpha Academy, pushing The Master to look for a new goal: the Money in the Bank briefcase.

This show left much to ponder for weeks and months to come for WWE.

Uncle Howdy and New Group Must Be Protected to Succeed1 of 5

WWE has teased for months how Bo Dallas would continue the legacy of Bray Wyatt.

And his group debuted at the end of Monday’s Raw by brutally destroying the backstage area.

This is a money opportunity to create the most terrifying group in WWE, establishing multiple new stars among a talent crew.

While WWE has not fully revealed the name of this group or the participants underneath their masks, the expectation is that Dallas, Erick Rowan, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy are the wrestlers working this gimmick.

While these are not wrestlers who have been heavily protected in the past, WWE must work carefully to keep them interesting.

This is a group that should wrestle sparingly and rarely lose. Their focus should be on making a lasting impact on the business with one of the most creative stables ever conceived.

It’s with great sadness that Wyatt is not here to lead this group, but they can honor his legacy by continuing this presentation for years to come.

Seth Rollins Adds Needed Boost to Raw Main Event Scene2 of 5

WWE needed Seth Rollins. His hiatus since WrestleMania 40 left a clear hole at the top of the men’s main event scene that no one could fill.

Even in the build to Clash at the Castle, it was clear both Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre needed a babyface star to work off.

With the return of The Visionary, WWE has an opportunity to get the world title scene rolling again. Either Priest or Rollins could face Gunther at SummerSlam, so the result of their upcoming title match is completely unpredictable.

Even if Priest defeats Rollins, The Visionary should remain a permanent fixture in the major WWE title scenes for the foreseeable future.

With hindsight, Rollins’ World Heavyweight Championship reign raised the prestige of the title, and he remains a consistently reliable star to lift the entire Raw brand.

Chad Gable Still Must Win Gold in 20243 of 5

Chad Gable has lost Alpha Academy and is completely out of the Intercontinental Championship scene.

This is a disappointing moment for the Olympian, who has yet to see the payoff of so much great character work in the last year.

However, a rebuild of his group can be the first step to putting him on the right track. Once he is backed by The Creed Brothers, he should go back after gold.

Perhaps it is even time to jump past the Intercontinental Championship and put Gable in the world title scene.

Assuming Gunther is champion after SummerSlam, The Master remains one of the best rivals for The Ring General on the entire roster.

This year should not end without Gable on a championship track.

Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk is Already WWE Feud of the Year4 of 5

Drew McIntyre is certainly not actually gone from WWE.

Whether he decides to make a stop elsewhere or is just looking to be a free agent terrorizing CM Punk wherever he goes, the Scot will carry this story forward.

Clash at the Castle will forever be the lowest moment of McIntyre’s career, but the story coming out of it could make him a bigger star than ever before.

McIntyre and Punk have barely touched so far, but this is the most heated angle in all of WWE and only getting better.

With the hopeful in-ring return of The Best in the World rapidly approaching, the new summer of Punk is ready to begin.

In truth, though, it should be the summer of McIntyre, who is becoming a bigger star in WWE with each passing week.

Bron Breakker Will Dethrone Sami Zayn5 of 5

Bron Breakker has set his sights on the Intercontinental Championship, and no one will get in his way of achieving his latest goal.

Sami Zayn has done great work as champion so far, but he does not need to carry the belt much longer. In fact, an expiration date is on the horizon.

Breakker is a franchise star and will continue the ascent of the Intercontinental Championship, going on a run nearly as dominant as Gunther.

It all makes too much sense not to happen. In fact, it would be a disappointment if he didn’t begin his reign any later than Money in the Bank.
