Verdant Seed in War Within – From Rich Soil to Rich Gains

Verdant Seed are the War Within’s way for Herbalists to use the Rich Soil spots in the world to farm extra herbs. In War Within the system becomes more streamlined and gets a specialization to go along with it.

Verdant Seed is our new Herb item that we can farm, on the farm, get it? As we send in the intro, this process is a lot easier in War Within so let’s break it down.

Verdant Seed
Farm Location
As a quick note, this is not a method to farm Verdant Seed, but more the actual farm for the seeds. Now we have the semantics out the way, let’s show you the farm location.

Beledar’s Bounty

/way 48, 62 (you’ll need TomTom or similar addon to use this)

As shown in the image at the top of the article, the farm is not exactly “friendly”, so you’ll need to deal with the enemy problem while you farm, for now, these cannot be removed permanently.

Once you arrive at the farm, you’ll see a handful of new “Rich Soil” spots, which unlike in Dragonflight are all located on this farm. They respawn constantly and appear on your minimap as if a herb has spawned in the area.

In War Within you can also improve your skill with Verdant Seeds by specing your points into the Cultivation subsection of Botany. Putting more points in this will also grant you the ability to harvest Elemental seeds from Verdant Seeds.

As a fun fact, the Hallowfall farm is part of the world, which means you can also just use it as a farming spot for Herbs. We’ve seen at least one group already on the group finding planting seeds together to maximise the yield

Verdant Seed Super fun Facts

Rich Soil spots once planted can be harvested by anyone in the world. So you can just stay in the location for hours for free herbs (or just fly over it on your journey around Hallowfall)
Verdant Seed items are Warband Bound, so you can send them to another character (who also has Herbalism) and use them on that character. You could also simply have a character who just farms them for you. But you do you, I’m not your Dad
While the local Gluttonous Jawcrawlers in the area make farming the herbs annoying, they do add a little extra spice for those with skinning. These can add a little extra cash on the side for those rocking two gathering professions
There is also a cool quest chain in this area which we highly recommend you do
