Video: C.J. Stroud, Texans Debut ‘Battle Red’ Uniforms, Helmet vs. Lions in Week 10

The Houston Texans are rocking new threads on Sunday night.

The Texans debuted their new “Battle Red” uniforms ahead of their Week 10 matchup against the Detroit Lions. The uniforms feature red jerseys and pants along with some of the most unique helmets you’ll see this season.

One of the key details of the Texans’ new uniforms is the “Bold Bull” logo, which differs from the typical logo Houston features on its jerseys.

“Our Battle Red uniform now features a bullhorn shape that emerges from the shoulder stripe and matches the bullhorn on our all-new Battle Red helmet,” the Texans said on their website. “It’s bold, with a candy paint red helmet, but it’s also tied to our classic bullhead logo.

The new jerseys are part of a rebrand the Texans underwent ahead of the 2024 season, their first since 2002. Houston unveiled a handful of other new uniforms along with the Battle Reds.

The organization used “more than 10,000 surveys and 30 focus groups” to help land on new designs, according to a press release on their website.

“Today, for the first time since 2000, we are so proud to reveal our new uniforms. They are even more special because they are inspired by and for our fans,” Texans CEO Cal McNair said. “Our fans asked us to be more H-Town and we delivered. They were with us every step of the way and there’s truly something for everyone over the four uniforms.”

Wearing their new jerseys, the Texans are looking to bounce back from last week’s loss against the New York Jets as they face the top team in the NFC.
