Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels won Tom Brady’s weekly LFG Player of the Game award after accounting for 350 total yards and two touchdowns in a 45-31 upset win over the Detroit Lions in the NFC Divisional round on Saturday.

Before Brady got a chance to chat with Daniels about the game, though, the Commanders’ star rookie first asked (with a smile) the Fox’s lead NFL analyst what “LFG” stood for. Brady provided the following response.

FOX Sports: NFL @NFLonFOX”I want to ask you what LFG stands for?” – @JayD__5
“It’s inappropriate. It’s a family-friendly program.” – @TomBrady 😂

Brady used that phrase in its cleaner and obscene forms in the past during his playing days, when he won seven Super Bowls for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In his first year as FOX’s lead NFL analyst, he’s presented the LFG award on a weekly basis to the top player, beginning with Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons in Week 1.

Now Daniels is the latest well-deserved recipient. Fox is likely happy that Brady didn’t provide the honest answer on-air, since they’d be getting notice from the FCC if he did.

But he’ll be handing out one more LFG award next Sunday after the NFC Championship Game, when the Commanders visit the winner of the Los Angeles Rams at Philadelphia Eagles NFC Divisional round battle.
