Joe Flacco doesn’t expect Anthony Richardson to consider him the cool teammate.
Flacco entered the Colts Week 4 matchup after Richardson went down with a hip injury and helped lead the team to a 27-24 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Following the game, Flacco spoke with Aditi Kinkhabwala of CBS Sports and shared that his closeness in age to Richardson’s mother doesn’t make him seem any cooler to the second-year quarterback.

“Listen, he told me his mom is eight days older than I am,” Flacco said. “There is no chance in the world that he thinks I’m cool.”
While Flacco may not think he is cool in Richardson’s eyes, Kinkhabwala had said that Richardson believed Flacco was “cooler than he thought he would be.”
Regardless of how cool Richardson believes Flacco is, the second-year quarterback is likely appreciative of how Flacco salvaged the victory. Richardson exited after completing 3-of-4 passes for 71 yards and adding 24 yards on three carries.
Flacco went 16-of-26 for 168 yards and two touchdowns for the rest of the game and the win moved Indianapolis to 2-2 on the season. This has the team solidified in second place and Richardson will hope that the Colts remain in contention when he eventually returns to play.
