The Member of Parliament for Kwadaso Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Professor Kingsley Nyarko, has championed a reconciliation drive among some embittered members of the ruling New Patriotic Party in his Constituency.
This came to light at a ceremony held for the official constitution of the party’s campaign team ahead this year’s general elections.
Speaking at the event, he noted that the existence of a united front and an absolute commitment to service are what can make the flagbearer, His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, win the 2024 General Elections to retain the party in power.
According to him, the party is actively working to consolidate its base by engaging past assembly members and electoral area coordinators most of whom have fallen out with the party.
Making an assessment of governments under Ghana’s 4th Republic, Professor Kingsley Nyarko noted that the performance of both the Akufo-Addo and John Agyekum Kuffour governments surpasses all regimes of the opposition National Democratic Congress.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso, Richmond Agyenim Boateng, also applauded government for undertaking more than one hundred and sixty developmental projects within the municipality, including housing, water and durable roads. Expressing regret over the slow progress of work on the Creative Arts school, he reassured Ghanaians that government would complete the project should Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia win the 2024 elections.
