Members of the Asamankese Tricycle Riders Association in the eastern region are calling on the NPP-led government to help reduce the cost of fuel in the country.
According to them, the hike in fuel prices has created an obstacle for the growth of their business.
They further called on the government to fix their deplorable road networks in the various communities to help boost economic activities.
The Minister of Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, at a press conference following the Spring Meetings in Washington DC stated that Ghanaβs economy is heading towards stabilization.
He attributes this to the countryβs robust economic progress and strong recovery.
Contrary to these good remarks made by the Finance Minister, Ghanaians are finding it difficult to bear the brunt of the current economic hardship in the country due to mismanagement by the ruling government.
On this, some drivers of the Asamankese Pragya Riders Association in the Eastern region are calling on government to slash down the hike in fuel prices in the country since it is having a negative effect on their businesses.
They also urged government to as a matter of urgency fix the deplorable road networks in their communities.
Nana Yaw, a βPragyaβ driver who is popularly known in the community as βOn Godβ also shared similar sentiments.
