She ended the post with three heart emojis.
Davis, 58, is standing casually in jeans and a black zip-up hoodie with one hand on her hip while her other arm is wrapped around her daughter. She topped off her look with some bracelets, earrings and a head wrap.

Davis shares Genesis with her husband Julius Tennon. The couple — who tied the knot in 2003 — adopted Genesis in October 2011.
In 2017, the “Woman King” actress told People she knew something was missing before they adopted their daughter.
“I wanted my life to mean and be something deeper. That’s when the urge came, and the urge was just very, very, very, strong. So I have a kid now, and she is just the light of our lives,” she said.
She added that being a mom gave her a “new purpose.”

In 2016, she told Ellen DeGeneres that Genesis wanted to follow in her footsteps and become an actress.
“She says, ‘Mommy, I know how to live the words. I know how to breathe the words. I know how to remember the words.’ And I said, ‘Well, you gotta remember how to go to school and at 18, you need to remember how to get out of the house and pay your own bills,’” Davis said.
Davis last posted a family snap with Genesis and Tennon in March.
“Happy Easter from our family to yours!” she wrote as she hugged her daughter close.
