Warner Music South East Europe launches Balkan Electro, a new EDM label giving local talent across the Balkans and Ukraine a platform to promote their music worldwide.Formed in collaboration with Ensis Records, one of Eastern Europeās most significant EDM record labels, Balkan Electro will enable Ensisā roster to be distributed, upstreamed, and marketed through the Warner Music imprint. Warner Music South East Europe (WMSEE), WM Poland, and Ensis Records will work together to sign new local talent to the label.
Balkan Electro will tap into Warner Music Groupās global network, collaborating with Amsterdam-based Spinninā Records and the dance-focused teams at Warner Music Central Europe and Warner Music France, who have had considerable success in the region.
The label already has three global releases in the pipeline with Prisko and TBXās āBack to 95,ā which released today, Melliās āLosing My Mind,ā due out on April 26, and Kevin Palacios and Jordan Graceās āBright As You,ā out May 10.āItās a proud moment for me launching Balkan Electro alongside Alex [Cristian],ā says Izabela Ciszek-Podziemska, General Manager at WMSEE (pictured). āEDM music has no geographical boundaries, so weāll strive to find the next local superstar and take them to the world stage with the help of Warner Musicās global network.ā
Alex Cristian, founder and owner of Ensis Records, adds: āThere are so many unknown talented producers and DJs across Eastern and South Eastern Europe, so Iām looking forward to working with Iza, Warner Music, and its team to make Balkan Electro a big success. EDM is already present locally in this part of Europe, thanks to local festivals such as Untold, Sziget, and Ultra Europe, so I want to showcase our local talent and music to the world.ā
Cristian established Ensis Records in 2013 to bring together a tight-knit group of Romanian producers, rapidly expanding its focus to cover working global producers and DJs. The team notably discovered and signed Norwegian global superstar DJ and producer Kygo, and has released over 1,000 tracks to date.
