Watch: Travis Hunter wears perfect T-shirt after criticism from Richard Sherman

Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter had some fun with critical comments made by Richard Sherman ahead of Saturday’s game.

In an appearance on the “St. Brown Podcast” this week, Sherman was fairly dismissive of Hunter as a wide receiver, calling Hunter “bland.” Sherman praised Hunter as an elite athlete, but felt he was better as a cornerback than as a wide receiver because he does not see Hunter as a natural route-runner.

Hunter certainly took note of the criticism. When he arrived for Saturday’s game at UCF, he was seen wearing a shirt that simply read “bland.”

For what it’s worth, Hunter said in a “Well Off Media” vlog this week that he and Sherman spoke on the phone and Sherman apologized for the comment. That did not stop Hunter from having a little more fun with it.

Most people certainly would not describe Hunter as “bland” on the receiving end, as he has 37 catches for 472 yards and five touchdowns through four games. One can certainly make the case he could be more impactful as a full-time defender, but Colorado will not be shutting down his two-way prowess anytime soon.
