Wednesday horse racing tipsUTTOXETER
3.38: Slade Shore 5/1 (1pt)KILLARNEY
6.50: Red Letter 8/11 (2pts)Slade ShoreSalley Gardens sees jockey Sean Bowen on board again.

The nine-year-old gelding is still quite unexposed over fences and has already surpassed his hurdle rating.

He won twice in a row in Class 4 handicaps on his return to fences in March and May having previously tried his luck in this discipline back in 2022.

But on his first start for trainer Jake Thomas Coulson, last time out here over 2m5f, he pulled up.

Six-year-old Baskerville is very unexposed over fences too having only raced twice in May and then June, but did win by a wide margin over nearly 2m7f at Stratford on debut.

I can also see an angle for Slade Shore though, who won on chase debut last month at Worcester.

Receiving plenty of weight against his rivals on just his second chase start.

Traveling Soldier who placed second behind Slade Shore went on after a wind op to win on his next start over fences so it could be that extra nudge in the form.

Red Letter13 runners vie for the Cairn Rouge Stakes, a listed contest over 1m for three-year-old fillies.

The favourite by a bit of a distance even in the early stages of the betting opening was Red Letter.

This Frankel filly owned by Juddmonte sees their jockey Colin Keane get the ride.

And it’s no surprise she’s the favourite with her being by far the top-rated of the field.

There is a chance for Fiery Lucy though, trained by Gavin Cromwell, as she was once rated 107 like Red Letter.

She’s struggled twice this season but similarly hasn’t been that far off either.

Fiery Lucy was just a length behind Jabaara at Musselburgh, but was given plenty of weight with a three-year-old allowance.

I can’t see past Red Letter winning this and she was 6/4 last night which was great value that’s been seen into this morning as she’s now, and rightfully so, the odds-on favourite now.

She has only won once but her placings so far suggest there’s more to come in listed company, despite losing by half a length to Barnavara at Navan last month.
