“We’re going to crash Franky”, Collins joked, as Onyeka, with guidance from the airline’s instructor attempted to land a Boeing 737-800. However, Onyeka proved his teammates wrong by successfully landing the plane on the tarmac.
The instructor praised Onyeka’s efforts, saying, “Fantastic for a first attempt, that was excellent”. The Nigerian midfielder also mentioned that he would be returning for a proper course.
In addition to the aviation challenge, Onyeka and his teammates were tasked with performing in a live band, where Onyeka impressed on the drums. The Brentford FC players concluded their fun activities by appearing on a radio show.
Meanwhile, Onyeka has also been called up for international duty. The 26-year-old is expected to join the Super Eagles for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier matches against South Africa and Benin this June, having been included in head coach Finidi George’s squad list.
